3/1 East Restaurant on the dark side

Post by 2lz2p »

This is an excellent restaurant that features "fusion" food - large selection with reasonable prices. I took my Thai family (and caregivers) there for our annual Memorial Dinner (4th anniversary of my b/f passing away). I also invited the friend that recommended the restaurant to join us. A total of 5 adults and two preteen children. Great food, plenty to eat, and we still took some home. The total price was 4,550 baht (about 1,500 of that was for the dishes I ordered for myself plus a couple glasses Sangria at 270 baht per glass), so one can say it was 3,000 baht for the other 6 people.

As to their food, they have many Thai dishes, several western dishes, and dishes with a fusion of the two. They also have a large selection of Pizzas named for countries featuring some of their dishes for toppings - for some, you can also select additional toppings. One dish I tried was the Rancini (deep fried Italian rice balls with beef ragu and cheese coated in breadcrumbs) which was very tasty and I will order again.

You can check out their menu on Grab to see the variety and prices. I haven't ordered delivery from them using Grab yet as I will be dining there again next week with a very large group from the Pattaya City Expats Club. But I expect I will be making a few delivery orders in the future. Their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/31eastpattaya) has photos of some of their dishes (click on their photos or scroll down as most of the latest postings is their Christmas menu.

They are located on Soi 3/1 off Boonsampan Road - traveling from Sukhumvit, cross the railroad and look for Soi 3/1 sign on the left - typical narrow soi - keep going and you will see the restaurant on the left - they are part of a resort with the lodging behind the restaurant - their is a soi on each side, if you take the first one it leads to the resort entrance - only two parking slots, but they do have a wheelchair ramp to the restaurant entrance (there is also an entry from Soi 3/1 which goes to the bar adjacent to their swimming pool with the restaurant entrance on the other side of the pool. There is also street parking available. Here is a link for google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/3%2F1 ... FQAw%3D%3D
