Kasikornbank (KBANK) has collaborated with Pattaya City to introduce the FX EV Car, an electric vehicle designed for mobile foreign currency exchange services, to enhance convenience for both Thai and international customers.
Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramase Ngamphichet welcomed Mr. Boonthep Jiraphat, Assistant Managing Director of Kasikornbank and other Kasikornbank officials yesterday, August 1st, at the Pattaya City Hall. Both parties met to officially launch the FX EV Car, which is 100% electric and serves as the first-ever mobile foreign currency exchange service in Pattaya.
Mr. Boonthep announced that Kasikornbank plans to participate in all events in Pattaya, such as the New Year’s Countdown, International Fireworks, Pattaya Music Festival, and Pattaya Marathon. The EV vehicles will be stationed at these events to provide foreign currency exchange services to tourists.
Following the introduction of the FX EV Car at the end of 2023, which was the first of its kind in Thailand, Kasikornbank has already deployed the vehicles in various tourist locations in Bangkok.
In 2024, Kasikornbank plans to expand its mobile exchange service to other provinces such as Phuket, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, and Pattaya, to cover as many tourist destinations as possible. In Pattaya, the EV car will be stationed at places such as the Nong Nooch Pattaya Garden, Walking Street, Siam Bayshore, Mike Shopping Mall, Four Regions Floating Market, the Sanctuary of Truth, and Terminal 21 Pattaya, Mr. Boonthep concluded.

Rather than use this, I suspect most board members would use a far more competitive way of obtaining cash.
e.g. Either withdrawing it from a Thai bank account via an ATM or using a competitive forex service, such as TT.
