I don't know. The English language media keeps calling these Kuwaitis "tourists" when they are anything but. Maybe they ought to better define what constitutes a tourist. I have my own ideas for how to properly refer to the motorbike maniac Kuwaitis, but it is probably better that I refrain from publishing them . . .

Re: Arab Motorcycle Racing Business as Usual
The video is a very nice travelogue, along with what he shows going on with the motorbikes, although I could do without the unnecessary, annoying background music.
What stands out to me is what I don't see - no police presence at all, despite the fact that every one of them are breaking the law, if nothing else simply by not wearing helmets.

British Mans Alleged Reckless Motorcycle Stunt in Pattaya Leads to Crash and Attack
By Adam Judd
August 15, 2025
A British man’s alleged reckless motorcycle stunt sparked chaos in Pattaya late Thursday night, resulting in a serious accident and a violent confrontation. The incident occurred at 11:06 p.m. on August 14th, 2025, in Soi Bongkot 8. The British man, however, has denied all charges and responsibility despite many witnesses and reported CCTV evidence.
According to the SAwang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit, a collision between two motorcycles left a 49-year-old Thai woman, Ms. Jurairat Phettratsa, critically injured. Emergency responders found her pink Honda Scoopy overturned on the road, with Ms. Jurairat suffering severe head injuries and abrasions. Rescue workers performed CPR at the scene before rushing her to a hospital.
The other party involved was a young unidentified British man riding an electric off-road motorcycle. Witnesses reported that he was allegedly performing wheelies along the street, endangering other road users. At the time of the crash, he allegedly lost control while lifting his front wheel, colliding with Ms. Jurairat’s motorcycle and sending both vehicles skidding.
Tensions escalated when the young British man, possibly in his early 20s, reportedly denied responsibility, claiming Ms. Jurairat was at fault, and claiming he did nothing wrong. Outraged bystanders, having witnessed his alleged reckless behavior, attacked him, leaving him injured. Police and rescue volunteers struggled to restore order amid the chaotic scene. The British man then received first aid before being transported to a hospital accompanied by several friends who refused to identify themselves.
Multiple eyewitnesses told authorities that the British rider had been recklessly performing wheelies throughout the area, nearly hitting other pedestrians and vehicles. At the point of the crash, Ms. Jurairat was riding normally when the British man’s stunt caused the collision. After the incident, he allegedly attempted to shift blame, inciting the crowd’s anger. He reportedly has continued to say as of press time he isn’t at fault and claims to have done nothing wrong.
Pattaya police are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident and ensure justice for all parties involved. The investigation is ongoing.

Two Middle Eastern Tourists Seriously Injured Racing Motorbikes in Pattaya on Sukhumvit Road
By Adam Judd
August 30, 2025
A high-speed motorcycle crash involving a group of Middle Eastern tourists occurred in the early hours of August 30th, 2025, on Sukhumvit Road, opposite Makro Pattaya. The accident, reported at 3:06 AM, left two people seriously injured and caused major damage to two motorcycles.
The Pattaya Sawang Boriboon Rescue Unit responded quickly to the accident, where they found a white Yamaha Spark overturned on the roadside. Nearby, approximately 100 meters away, a black Honda CBR 650R big bike was severely damaged. Both riders, identified as Middle Eastern tourists, sustained serious injuries, with one suffering a large head wound and lying in a pool of blood, struggling to breathe. Rescue workers provided immediate first aid before rushing the two critically injured victims to a hospital. Two other unidentified people sustained minor injuries.
At the scene, a group of about ten friends of the victims, also on motorcycles, gathered in shock, observing their injured companions. A witness, Mr. Jakpong Wongin, 37, told The Pattaya News team that the group of Middle Eastern tourists were racing their motorcycles, riding recklessly with their heads down without helmets shortly after leaving a traffic light. As he reached for his phone to record a video, the big bike collided with the rear of the Yamaha Spark, causing both to skid in opposite directions and resulting in multiple injuries. He immediately alerted the rescue team.
CCTV footage clearly captured the incident, showing the Yamaha Spark traveling in the right lane when the high-speed Honda CBR 650R crashed into its rear, causing both bikes to lose control and slide across the road. Pattaya City Police have collected the footage and other evidence to investigate the cause of the accident and prepare a detailed report.
Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such incidents in the future. The exact nationality of the victims and names were not released by Pattaya police.

Hopefully no innocent bystanders were injured. I don't give a damn about the condition of those who were racing.Pattaya News wrote: ↑Sat Aug 30, 2025 4:59 pmTwo Middle Eastern Tourists Seriously Injured Racing Motorbikes in Pattaya on Sukhumvit Road

Re: Arab Motorcycle Racing Business as Usual
Bystanders, yes. Innocent? Somehow I don't think so. They were just lucky they weren't the ones injured considering it's obvious to me they were out there doing the same thing.
And they never learn. A couple years ago one of them nearly lost his leg. But they'll be out there again, and I won't be surprised if it's as soon as tonight.
Re: Arab Motorcycle Racing Business as Usual
I presume there must have been other road users just using the roads for getting from A to B. Now they would be innocent.
As long as none of those were injured, or significantly inconvenienced as the authorities removed the Arabs off the road, that is all that matters.

Re: Arab Motorcycle Racing Business as Usual
Agreed. Another peeve of mine is the way the media keeps referring to them as "tourists". I can think of other ways to refer to them, and much more accurately.
Re: Arab Motorcycle Racing Business as Usual
As far as I know, the definition of the word "tourist" does not specify anything about the quality or behaviour of the tourists.
Also, I can think of various words to refer to them as a well. However, if I were working for a mainstream media organisation & using the kind of words I have in mind, I'd probably be sacked.
