That's almost a separate topic, as it kind of depends on what a massage is.

That can be everything from professional massage only, massage + HJ, massage + HJ + naked masseur + various or finally full service.

If your professional massage is good, perhaps 300. Less if poor quality.

They used to ask for 500 tip if adding only a HJ onto a massage (effectively hand contact only). I've not had such a service for a few years, this may well be out of date. Tipping full MB rates for only that would be very generous, but don't let me stop anyone.

One would only get to the money boy scale if getting full service equivalent to a money boy. For example, full service, or a very good massage & near full service.

This is for Pattaya. I can't comment on the gay only Bangkok full service places with muscular lads. I don't use them & I'm not one to comment on tips unless I have relevant & recent experience.

My current preferred masseur is a Jack'D boy who comes to my room. He's getting into the money boy scale & deserves it.
I also made a handful of visits to massage shops earlier in 2024. Again, with good & well earned tips. One was exceptionally good. No duds on this trip.

Hopefully you will get some replies from people who can point to more regular massage shop visits than me.

No,,,the rates being bantered around on this post apply to "offs".

I agree with the rates quoted by Jun.

A 500 baht tip for standard HJ service is appreciated. Of course you would want to tip more if additional services are provided, e.g., oral, intercourse, etc. Up2U.

If you arrange a private service back in your room it would be customary to tip the same as an "off" which only makes sense.

Again, similar to the tipping range for "offs" the rates for boy massages haven't changed much in eons. This I can confirm by hands-on knowledge (meant literally)...

Well, I think all of us in this discussion tip adequately, maybe more than adequate. And from the results of this poll, I’ll try to tip a bit less on my upcoming trip.

First, in Thailand restaurant tips are not based on percentage of the bill.

Bell boy in hotel - 20 baht per piece of luggage
Waiter in Thai Restaurant - 20 baht
Waiter in Fancy Restaurant - 40 to 100 baht depending on the quality of the restaurant and the service
Waiter who brings you drinks at gay bar (but not sitting or offing) - nothing
Maid in hotel - 50 to 100 baht depending on how well I'm pleased with the cleaning and whether I have interacted with her.
