I hope for his sake he doesn't get caught. I think undocumented and illegal Cambodians in Thailand these days are placing themselves in much more serious danger than before the border dispute happened. I'm worried boys like him will be treated much more heavy handed than just putting them on a bus and sending them home, especially since Thailand and Cambodia are in virtually a cold war.

Re: Boys
I know some boys who were in the Privateboymovies and they have all said that they were properly paid, made aware that the videos would be put online and agreed to that, and that the guy treated them well.
Re: Boys
I'm just thinking of one of my Cambodian friends, who hasn't been in Pattaya for a couple of years due to a ban on entering Thailand. He would message me sometime during the summer.
Q: When you come to Thailand next ?
A: November.
Then a little closer to the time:
Q: When you come to Pattaya ?
A: 30 Nov (for example).
Then on that date, I'd be guaranteed to get a Line message asking when can we meet. He has even managed it just seconds after I walked into the room, between opening the door and putting my bag down.
Such organisation is rare.

Re: Boys
One of my Cambodian friends has bust his phone. Apparently he was assaulted after another late night drinking session on the beach.
The phone still works, but considering all the damage, that's remarkable. I was pleased to hear it only cost 3000 baht new and he has no ambitions of getting anything better. This has only 4 GB of RAM and a fairly modest proccessor, but it wasn't that slow.
The phone is an essential tool for his trade. He makes extensive use of the translation app and Line for contacting customers. I also found an app for him to learn the Roman alphabet.
Thankfully he realises he should save for the replacement. At the rate he gets short time tips off me, all it needs is some control on expenditure.
He has the OS language set to English and seems quite proficient using it, which is remarkable considering he reads very little English. For example, I've just been teaching him to read his bar name!
Meanwhile, my favourite Lao boy appears to be in Bangkok. Another Cambodian friend is in Siem Reap.
So it will be time to find some new boys soon.

Re: Boys -A High Class problem
Well, I just had a visit from my first "new" boy since 28 February. Or the first in over 6 weeks of holiday.
I've got a high class problem here. The top tier of boys on my list are so good, I'm struggling to fit in any new ones. Life can be tough !
However, I decided it's time to make space for some butterflying. Helped along by one of my regulars having flu.
I contacted the new lad via Hornet, but I've seen him around the Complex. In fact one of his profile photos was taken last night, when he was sat across the street from me.
Well, the "new" lad was awesome. Adorable, with a cute smile and very good at everything.
I intend to invite him back and suspect it will be even more difficult to find time for butterflying.

Re: Boys -A High Class problem
I'm sure if you put your mind to it you will find a way to somehow overcome and cope with this difficult problem . . .
I'm wondering how many people reading this are hoping to go to Thailand and have to deal with the same problem.
Re: Boys
I'm at a bar, with my current #1 favourite lad.
The second favourite arrives, with a group of farang and locals. He doesn't normally visit this bar. Boys are usually quite discrete if they see you with someone else. In this case, I think he's hoping I don't even notice he's there, but eventually, there's a discrete acknowledgement.
Their group had about 4 boys and 5 farang. I couldn't actually figure out which farang he's with, as there was no obvious attempt at conversation during their stay at the bar. Quite remarkable, particularly considering he's quite friendly and speaks a lot of English.
I thought going to bars was supposed to be all about socializing.

Re: Boys
I'm discussing phones with a boy. His existing 3000 baht phone is badly damaged and he's thinking of getting a Xiaomi model to replace it, at a similar price point. To his credit, he has no ambition of getting an expensive phone. He's made it clear he was happy with his 3000 baht phone & seems in no hurry to replace it, despite the condition of it.
Me: Are these Xiaomi phones any good? Do your friends have them?
Boy: No, they have iPhone or Samsung
Me: How do they buy expensive phone, when they are never sitting with any customers ?
Boy: They have farang or family looking after them.
Me: What do your friends in Cambodia use?
Boy: iPhone or Samsung. Cambodia use USD.
Yet again, nothing makes much sense. It's hard to tell what's BS and what's just ting tong.
Meanwhile, right on cue, another boy seems to have acquired a new ~60,000 baht phone. This one's had to take a regular day job, as he is finding trade slow in the bars.
The guy with the cheap phone has been to my room 25 times since the guy with the more expensive phone. Obviously, the frequent visitor is very good and gets tipped well.

Re: Boys
Just to answer that question, yes they are good. My phone is an Xiaomi phone - the 15-T Pro. I bought it the day they were first released a couple months ago. I am very pleased with it and can certainly recommend it. I can't speak to less expensive Xiaomi phones, but I couldn't be happier with the one I have and I can't imagine what more expensive phones can do that this one can't.
