GB, It seemed to have gone downhill from what I remembered of the buffet from a couple of years ago, but I was only there one morning in January. I'm hoping I was just there on an off morning for them, but things were a bit sparse selection-wise and the food that should be kept hot wasn't hot. However, I liked it better that day than TOQ did.

Then the quality went way downhill and I stopped going at all. I haven't been there in years. How's the quality these days? Anybody know?

I hear the LEK is still good, but the APEX HOTEL can be better.

I only ate there once and that was back about 4-5 years ago. It was crap, so I never went back.

I agree Papa David's is very good, but as far as it being the best, let's just say my idea of "best" does not coincide with yours.

And why are you writing in all-caps?

First point for me is always the opening time because i like my breakfast early in the morning (6-8am). In Pattaya i like Grottinos Bakery and Continental Bakery and may be in future Casa Pascal for normal breakfasts. When i need a big buffet i will go to the Hilton or Marriott.

I have two favorites: Purple Space Monkey for breakfast tacos and Alto's for their "super breakfast". Either one is 110b and an excellent value.

Isn't that close to Alois on Thappraya? I've never been there. Can you describe their breakfast?

Yes, just up the street from Alois on the same side. Alto's "super breakfast" consists of two link sausages, two pieces of smoked bacon, two eggs cooked to order, two pieces of smoked honey ham, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, baked beans, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee or tea, toast, butter and jam. All of that food for only 110b! The owner is gay and very supportive of our community.
