This video clip of Dan Quayle should jar your memory:

So do these two. Quayle might not make the greatest president the USA has ever had, but think of the entertainment value . . .

Undaunted, great comparison with Claire Underwood, the thought has crossed my mind a couple of times, too.

Fit or unfit for office is necessarily a relative term. In a perfect world, the electorate would be intelligent enough to stay well clear of both Trump and Clinton. In the real world, however, I have to say that a Trump presidency would cause me sleepless nights, because he's just so impulsive and trigger-happy. I wouldn't have the same worries with regards to Hillary. In that sense I consider her fit for office.

Starting sometime on September 26th. the Presidential Debates will begin. There will be three debates between Trump and Clinton (and one between the VP's), and man o man these should be doozies of historical proportion. I'd venture a guess that at least a few of these ugly cat fights will garner the largest TV audiences ever.

Here's my humble advice to Madame Hillary: forget genteel debate on substance ... coz Trump won't, and/can't. Trump needs his throat torn out, so show no mercy.

One hint: watch this short YouTube video. Trump being Marlene Dietrich ... Hillary being Charles Laughton.

Trump is just a big embarrassment for US, but in the same way as Bernie Sanders he's attracting the young waters and trailer trash. I visited PA and outside most trailers was a Trump sign. I would not be surprised if he wins the election, these people like his foul language and the way he attacks Clinton it's like a street fight. If you could not see him only hear him speak you would think he came from the closest ZingZing or Biker gang. Will be interested to see how he will be in the White House, but of course it have to be updated to look like Nicolae Ceausesco's palace to suit his taste, don't know if US can afford that.

One of my favorite scenes from The Apprentice is when one of that candidates refers to himself as "White Trash" and The Donald fires him on the spot for using that term. Quite funny, considering (a) what language The Donald himself tends to use nowadays and (b) to what extent that very group will make or break his campaign.

New polls show race tightening. Clinton leads Trump by +2 (Fox), +2(Reuters), +5(Economist).
Scary.

Meanwhile, CNN just put out another poll that says Clinton and Trump are running just about even:

I guess the only poll that really counts will be the one held on November 8.

Before we panic, let's not forget that the total vote counts for nothing. It's the number of electoral college votes that count and I think Clinton is still way ahead there.
