BUT I disagree with you on President Trump's efforts to bring peace to the Mideast. I have children and grandchildren living in the USA and I don't want that terrorist Iranian regime to possess the nuclear warhead on an intercontinental missiles directed to the USA

I share the same concerns about my children and grandchildren in the USA, but I'm also concerned about my 19 year old niece who's serving as a Medical Corpsman with a Marine Expeditionary Unit slated to head to the Persian Gulf. The thought of her losing her life for a war that should never have happened is equally as concerning.travelerjim1 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2026 8:20 am

Dodger, I hear you... this should NEVER had been allowed to get to this stage... Presidents for 46 years have kicked the can in addressing the real threat of the terrorist Iranian regime. Who have KILLED many hundreds of Americans and tens of thousands of Iranians as they keep absolute power.
President Trump
is commited to ending that rogue terrorist Iranian regime... NOW, not later. Ending their ability to produce nuclear weapons... period

Re: Major fuel price increase
I believe one way or another now Trump has no choice but to make sure Iran can't ever get a nuclear weapon and he also has to see that the Strait of Hormuz is open and shipping is unimpeded by Iran or anyone else. When this began Trump said Iran was only a week or two away from being able to make a nuclear weapon. From among all the pundits and talking heads I've seen, not one of them has disputed that.travelerjim1 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2026 9:20 am President Trumpis commited to ending that rogue terrorist Iranian regime... Was Trump right or wrong to do this? I don't know, but I don't like it. I think Trump is going to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. If he gives in to Iran's demands, his credibility is entirely gone, even with MAGA people. So he can't give in.
If the outcome of this includes the end of Iran's evil regime, that aspect of it would be a good thing. But what it would take to achieve it, that's what worries me.
Re: Major fuel price increase
The ONLY thing that idiot is committed to is further inflating his ego - with no regard whatsoever for anyone else other than HIMSELF. Let's face it, he's gone to great lengths to prove that to everyone on earth...so who are we to question?travelerjim1 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2026 9:20 am

Believe me. our military leaders in the Pentagon spend more time trying to figure out how to contain HIM than they do any "perceived" foreign threats. And as you mentioned, this crap with Iran has been going on since our grandparents were around - and will probably still be going on when our grandchildren are running around with beards.
What happened to the campaign promise the Idiot made repeatedly to his MAGA flock, i.e., no foreign wars, no attempts at regime change???
Back to topic; It's hard to imagine the fuel prices dong anything but bouncing all over the place for a long time to come because of the Idiots actions -with the average cost being significantly higher than when he commandeered his throne.
What a gem!
