The Paradise Spa is certainly expensive compared to the Tukcom places. Somjit down the side of Tukcom is 300 Baht and I assume Relax@me is similar although I've not been there recently.

I think you'll find that the prices have remained the same at both Relax and Somjit (300 baht). The off fee for a private massage back at your room is still 500 baht at Somjit from what I understand.

Personally I always preferred the beds at Relax over the floor mats at Somjit.

As I'm sure you know these are "boy massages" specializing in "happy endings" - not professional masseurs.

A bit of trivia: The Thai woman who owns Samjit is the older sister of Beer who owns Boys Nightclub in Sunee (formerly Nice Boys).

I also don't like the fact that at Somjit there is only a curtain between each mat. It makes any conversation audible from next door and the sounds of an approaching "happy ending" rather evident.

Somjit has raised beds, at least on the third floor where I get taken. The professional part of the massage has also been quite good, but obviously we go beyond that.
Yes, they only have curtains, but background music and a usually unoccupied adjacent bed are sufficient for me. Besides, everyone knows we're not in a church.

Apparently a lot of customers didn't like this, thus the reason she started allowing the boys to go off.

The 500 baht off fee is a win-win situation. She (the owner) gets an additional 200 baht for the massage service - and the customer gets to enjoy his massage in the privacy of his room.

Gui (owner at Relax) frowns on letting his staff go off - but his place is better suited for privacy.

As a side note: If you ever want to spoil yourself select two boys for a little 'massage a trois'.

I remember the advice I was given. Choose the first boy and let him choose the second. That way they will be comfortable together. It worked in Bangkok but I've never tried in Pattaya.

I got a fuller explanation of the tipping at The Paradise Spa. 600 Baht "Soft tip" and the guy at the desk just shrugged. 1200 Baht "Hard tip" and he mimed a hand job with his fist.

As I see it, massage shops are no longer the place to find dream boys.
Those boys are on the apps, in the Jomtien bars or, if you're lucky, on the stage of Classic Boys.

Out of Somjit, Relax, Helios and Paradise, clearly Paradise has the best looking staff. No small cute ones, but they certainly do tall, slim and handsome.

However, I expect a massage to be included with my massage.
I'm slowly wising up and going more for massage skills than the cutest lad in the shop. After all, I'm face down for half the massage and can't even see the masseur. So whilst the staff at Somjit probably wouldn't entice me in as a first timer, I know it's better to go there than hunt for the cutest massage boy in Pattaya and Jomtien, then risk a poor massage.

Did I understand you correct that the boys expect 1200 baht tip for just a hand job? I would expect them to do that for 600 and full on sex for 1200...
