Actually, he is the former worldwide president of Republicans Overseas.

I wouldn't have expected Trump to appoint a Democrat, so that part comes as no surprise to me.
If we're REALLY lucky, maybe he'll reinstate the income verification letters and embassy outreaches. I'm not holding my breath, though.

Well his resume is impressive, I would have thought the ambassadorship would have been given to an inexperienced big money donor
