Transferring Money Into Thailand With TransferWise
I downloaded the app and gave the necessary info, then transferred 5000 U.S. to my Thai bank....they transferred it in Thai baht at 32.80 and the charge was 41.20 U.S. it took less than 24 hrs to get into my Thai acct.

The 32.8 was probably a "perfect" mid-market rate (has been in my GBP to SGD transactions). So total loss is 41.20 or 0.824%.

TransferWise sent the following notification:
If you are using TransferWise and do your transfers by ACH, go to your TransferWise account and you will see how much your fee will increase.
That applies only to ACH transfers. There was no mention of fee increases for any other methods.TransferWise wrote:On December 13, we're increasing our fees for paying by ACH.

At 1722, Thai Time, last Thursday, I opened the Transferwise app. Checked the rate, went through the details and then accessed my UK account to transfer the money. Transferwise received my money at 1725 and the Baht hit my Kasikorn account at 1728. That's an all time record for me.

Re: Transferring Money Into Thailand With TransferWise
In addition to bringing a lot of cash, I have been using transferwise for EUR to THB conversion for years. But I only use it on my laptop (I don't do any banking on my phone).
