I do, for one - and I'm going in September. There's a lot to see there, including some world-class Museums, and it's a perfect stop-over for my final destination.Undaunted wrote:Who would want to go to these god forsaken shit holes anyway

Hmmm, may I ask what is the attraction with Qatar?

Why would you ask you have already declared it a shithole?
Re: Thai men warned against illegal massage work in Qatar
The Post published two versions of this story which are identical except for one paragraph that appeared in a version dated Feb. 28 but deleted from the one dated Mar. 1. Here's that graph:
"The problem was most rife among masseurs at massage shops for men. In Qatar, service providers and customers at massage shops must be of the same sex, he said."
I'm sure that was a major deterrent to all concerned.

Strange question given that I had already mentioned the world class museums. I happen to love early Islamic art and architecture. So five of the main Museums are top of my list including the more modern Al Zubarah Archaeological Site. There are also old desert forts, a souk with lots of outdoor cafes plus the chance to see what it is that is making these Gulf states such an attraction. Besides, I will be visiting Iran before going on to Europe and it makes a natural stopover.Undaunted wrote:may I ask what is the attraction with Qatar?
