Re: Mad Dogs
Don't know if it counts but I was bitten by a dog that hangs out at the local Family Mart.

Well, I guess we'll find out shortly if counts.
"Is rabies always fatal?
"Yes, it is always fatal once clinical symptoms appear.
"However, post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) stops the virus before clinical symptoms appear, if given immediately after exposure (from a bite or scratch of a rabid animal)."

I went directly to Bangkok Pattaya hospital, thankfully no longer requires several injections to the stomach.Geezer wrote:Well, I guess we'll find out shortly if counts.

Whew -- with rabies, one doesn’t mess around.
At one time in my life it seemed I was getting tetanus shots every few months. I told the doctor I didn’t need another shot, as I had one a short time before.
He replied, “You wouldn’t say that if you had ever seen someone die of tetanus.”
Later I did see someone die of tetanus. Boy, was he right!
