He was a long term Pattaya expat and board member his name was Marc Mader, he died from a heart attack upcountry where his boyfriend lived.

Cat (Marc) was a regular in Sunee Plaza for years back in its hay day, as well as an active member of our forums, especially Sawatdee back in its early days.. A true gentleman...quick witted...and always wore a smile.

Travel in Peace my friend.

I am saddened to post that Marc who used the posting name catawumpuscat has died today of heart failure. Six months or more ago, Marc suffered a stroke along with heart problems including sepsis was hospitalized for many months with little chance of recovery. However Marc made a remarkable recovery and was with us, alive and well, for several months, but his weakened heart finally gave out and he passed away. During his entire hospitalization and recovery period he was attended to by his loyal Thai friend, Ef, who was always there to help him in any way he could until Marc's end; Ef a true friend if there ever was one.
