Thai boy (30 y/o) found dead in Pattaya apartment (see article's below).
According to other news sources it was reported that the boy was gay and visited the Jomtien Complex bars often. It was also mentioned that he apparently had a farang boyfriend who lives in Germany.
Cause of death is under investigation.
Jai found a picture of the boy that was posted on-line. I didn't recognize him.
So sad:

Re: Thai Boy Found Dead
The second post sent me to a story in Phuket.
Here's another link, which partly contradicts what's written by Pattaya news.
His sibling is known to some of us.
RIP.

I think I might know him, he briefly worked at Nice Boys and was a part time Bolt driver.

The boy I thought I knew was not the boy killed, while scrolling through Facebook someone posted a pick of the actual boy killed:

I am very sorry to see something like this happen, but I'm glad at least isn't someone you knew. I don't recognize him either.
I guess we're all waiting to find out what actually happened. I hope the news will follow up on this and let us know.

Re: Thai Boy Found Dead
My boyfriend knew Nai from several years ago and remained in casual contact. Today he spoke to Nai's adoptive mother - he said Nai's real parents are dead. She told him Thai police have closed the case. The doctor has concluded the cause of death was a ruptured blood vessel in the brain. However, no one has been able to explain the cloth stuffed into his mouth and the stab wound in his stomach. Apparently his funeral has already been held at a temple in Sisaket Province on the Thai-Cambodian border. In two days, the family will return to Pattaya to contact the police and to collect his belongings from his room. Whether further details regarding the case will be forthcoming, is anyone's guess.

1 If crimes were not counted as crimes, there would be fewer unsolved crimes and police performance metrics would look better.
2 The uniformed mafia would be freed up to concentrate on the core revenue collecting activities, rather than non-core crime solving.
I wonder how much more of that goes on ?
Does the apartment complex have CCTV ?

Ok, here's my guess: There will be none.thewayhelooks wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 3:10 pm Whether further details regarding the case will be forthcoming, is anyone's guess.

Gee, I can't even imagine what might have happened . . .
The part I'd like to know is why it happened and who did it.
I remember, a very long time ago now, a weighed down body with the hands tied behind the back was found deep in the Pattaya Bay. It was ruled a suicide.
Maybe it really was a suicide. If you mess with the wrong people, that's suicide . . .

Isn't this almost always the case ?Gaybutton wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 4:31 pmOk, here's my guess: There will be none.thewayhelooks wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 3:10 pm Whether further details regarding the case will be forthcoming, is anyone's guess.
1 The Thai examiner referred to a missing 250,000 baht gold necklace. Link earlier in thread. I have no idea how reliable their journalism is.
2 We're not going to find out who did it, if the police don't want to investigate.
There are some very suspicious suicides in Pattaya & perhaps other parts of Thailand.
To avoid joining them, I suspect the best way to play that is to ensure, as far as possible, that no one could profit from my death.
No conspicuous displays of wealth.
No business activities.
Nobody in Thailand in my will.
Minimise contact with the uniformed mafia.
