GB,
I have full time job and in parallel I try follow all developments regarding coronavirus in several languages. if you insists on providing exact links and references (which is quite appropriate, say for a research paper), I would rather stop posting on this topic. Ok, now I understand. I did not know you were summarizing multiple sources. Yes, please continue to post what you find out.

World health organization is now issued guidelines on human challenge trials of the vaccine. I discussed it earlier: it involves a deliberate exposure of volunteers to the virus ( both vaccinated and not) as a way to speed up the process of potential vaccine evaluations. There is now a dedicated website where more than 14000 people volunteered for such a trial. In my opinion, Chinese will use (or perhaps already did) this option to verify their vaccine candidates.
First of all , they want to develop the vaccine earlier than others and secondly it will be difficult to conduct traditional trials in China due to the lack
of omnipresent virus infection. WHO guidelines is just a cover for Chinese.

For those who can read Russian , there is a summary of current vaccine developments. There are some minor inaccuracies in the article.

Some encouraging news about Moderna vaccine. The other two companies working on similar vaccines are:Cansinobio (traded with symbol 06185 on HK
stock exchange) and Biontech (traded in Frankfurt with symbol:22 UA). I am invested in both.

Hmmm...... I don't like the sound of this, announce promising news, jack up the price and then sell. What do they know that the public doesn't.?

Fingers crossed....

Doctor testing Moderna vaccine says it’s ‘simply mind-boggling’ that injection may be ready in 2020

What is becoming abundantly clear is that vaccine will not be available in 2020 unless there will be a human challenge trial. Preliminary results of Cansinobio vaccine which is similar to Oxford vaccine turned out to be iffy. Most probable scenario is that there will be a number of vaccines with efficacy of around 40-60 percent. They still can be useful for the development of 'herd immunity" but will require immunization of the whole 7 billion of people to make any sense and will not guarantee an individual protection especially among older folks. That task will require many years of effort.
Overall, pretty bleak picture. Stay safe.
