And Congress won't impeach and convict this guy? WHY?

USA Code definition of treason: "Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."
See: https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?pat ... ion=prelim

Is there an aspect of this that doesn't apply to Trump?

Trump calls for delay to election (see link).
The faster you get rid of him, the better -he's dangerous.
However, whilst I'm not an expert on the US constitution, even if there's no election, I believe his term has to end on time in January ?

To the best of my knowledge, if the election is disputed and remains unresolved by January 20, then the Speaker of the House - that's Nancy Pelosi - will be sworn in as acting president until the dispute is resolved - most likely by the Supreme Court.

Trump is going to stoop to anything to try to remain president. I would greatly enjoy seeing him forcibly escorted from the White House and into the arms of the police waiting to arrest him. And while they're at it, arrest Ivanka and Kushner too. There are certainly plenty of grounds to send all three of them to jail. On visiting days I'm sure Kellyanne Conway and Sean Hannity will be happy to drop by.

His latest is an attempt to make the next round of stimulus payments higher than $1200. The amount is unspecified, but in my opinion he is actually trying to take advantage of the situation by using taxpayer money to, in part, essentially buy votes for himself.

None of Trump's attempts surprise me. I wish the Republicans would wise up enough to at least nominate someone else. Trump will only be the Republican nominee if the Republican convention votes him in as the nominee. If they are still going to support this incompetent madman, they might as well nominate Putin.

3 months and 2 days until the election . . .

I'm going to ask a question that may be very difficult, perhaps impossible, to answer. What is the single worst thing Trump has done - so far - as president?

Biden picks Harris...... an excellent choice!
====================

Here's why Joe Biden chose Kamala Harris as his VP

CNN)Joe Biden thinks he is going to win the White House in 84 days' time.

That's the unmistakable message he sent just after 4 p.m. Eastern time when, via text, his campaign announced that he had picked Sen. Kamala Harris of California as his vice presidential nominee.
Harris, who ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic presidential nomination earlier this year, had been the front-runner to be Biden's pick for months because, well, she simply made sense.
Consider:
* She's been vetted on the national stage due to her own 2020 bid
* She has experience in government -- as both the California attorney general and as a US senator since 2017
* At 55 years old, she represents a younger generation of leader -- something that Biden, who will be 78 on Inauguration Day 2021, said was a major factor in his choice
* She is a historic pick as the first Black and South Asian American woman to appear on a major party's national ticket
* She's from California, a massive treasure trove of both Democratic votes and Democratic donors
* She emerged as an outspoken voice on race -- and the need for police reform -- following the death of George Floyd in May and the subsequent protests it sparked around the country
There was no one else on Biden's VP shortlist that checked so many boxes................

Anyone surprised?

Fox News threw everything but the kitchen sink at Kamala Harris

I only would have been surprised if they didn't. I doubt it would have mattered who Biden chose, Fox News would have done that to anyone. Maybe they would have made an exception if he had chosen Wayne LaPierre, Don Jr, or David Duke - you know - "fine people" like that.
