Well WhiteDesire, I have to reluctantly agree with what you wrote above. It hurts - but it is true in my case.
As I was getting older and older in the Western world I saw that my accessibility to guys who were younger than me was decreasing rapidly - as my time was up.
I never considered Asian guys - as I had not had much exposure to them. Prior to this, my exposure was mainly with WASPs (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant), Italians, persons of color, and Jewish guys.
In 2012, my job sent me to Asia for a couple of missions and then my tastes changed and I saw that the Asians were less closed off to us older guys than my Western counterparts. So, this changed my thinking for my future retirement. I said, I can remain in the West and be invisible or I can go to the East and be visible. After that revelation, the choice became easy for me.

From what I observe many Thais actually prefer us older folk. At times my boyfriend and I have watched porn together. We gave that up when I realized that when I picked a video with some hot young guy, my boyfriend was nonplused. If he picked the vid, it was always some old guy and I was equally unexcited by his choices. In fact, of all the Thai-farang couples I know, they are all older/younger pairings. I know money may be a factor, but it seems less so than physical attraction.

Younger gay guys are not interested in Asians (generally, not all, and I am generalising), they go for Ibiza, Paris, the States, Spain etc.

That is a huge generalization. For reference, what is your age range of "younger gay guys"?

@gaybutton I agree with you 1000%. Always found asians more attractive since I "saw" my first Asians as a very young man.

@whitedesire's post did make me consider something else -- there are no openly gay venues; or venues openly accepting of gays in Pattaya (that I PERSONALLY know of). In Ibiza, I would guess that you could be in any disco and sucking face with anyone you want and no one would care. I wonder if that is true in the Thailand discos.

I haven't been to Sinlapin but I would guess from other's experiences, it is an exception and open and accepting of everyone. But it is not on the tourist map.

Many of the "younger straight guys" pride themselves on getting free sex. I wonder if younger gay guys are the same.
