The first night of the Pattaya Music Festival was deemed a success even though some reportedly complained about what they called trivial regulations such as a mask mandate, required seating, or displaying proof of a Covid-19 vaccination.
The Pattaya Music Festival, which had three stages spread out over the Dusit Thani hotel, Soi 6, and Central Pattaya Beach, just beautifully ended yesterday, August 5th, although it only did so for the first night because this one-month-long festival will resume today as well.
The Pattaya mayor, Poramese Ngampiches, who also visited the festival, said yesterday that the first night of the Pattaya Music Festival was a grand success as it was able to draw numerous attendees from Pattaya’s vicinity and help generate income for locals.
However, some people were dissatisfied with what they called trivial Covid-19 regulations such as required seating, a mask mandate despite the concert being held in an open space, or the requirement to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination. They reportedly hoped that the authorities would cut them some slack so that the festival would be more interesting to join.

Thai health officials are not fully reporting on a daily basis the COVID cases being discovered in community tests... Still over 29,000 + positive tests ATK antigen tests daily in Thailand... with at home isolation care.
They are now only to reporting the RT-PCR COVID positive tests...with symptoms and hospitalizations.
This is done to boost tourism.

I'd imagine most tourists would be more worried about Thai government policy responses to covid than the actual infection rates.travelerjim1 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 1:07 pm They are now only to reporting the RT-PCR COVID positive tests...with symptoms and hospitalizations.
