Sorry, I referenced the wrong Headline News video in my earlier post.

See this video which you posted at timer 2:52 where it talks about Bank System Outages which apparently caused delays in people trying to pay for things in stores.

This is just one of the things that turns me a bit sour on jumping on the "Promptpay" bandwagon. Yes, the World is navigating to cashless systems with lightening speed - but I just don't see Thailand having the level of reliability I prefer any time soon.

Just a little over a month ago Bangkok Bank had a major system outage which delayed transactions I wanted to make until the next day. Fortunately, (for me) I had enough cash in my pocket to make ends meet - so it was no big deal. This isn't the first time this has happened and I doubt it's the last. Just 6 months ago Kasikorn Bank was involved in a major scam which was widely reported - resulting in investors who were lured into this scam by a Kasikorn employee to lose big bucks.

I have accounts at both banks...have for many years...content with their service...but prefer making purchases using cash and/or credit cards...works fine...always has.

Certainly Dodger do as you please. However you come across as a person who won't get a dog because you heard somebody else had a dog that bites - in other words, looking for reasons not to do it or even give it a try.

Obviously your mind is made up, but I still think you are making a mistake. As the Thais say, "Up to you".
