If that's the charging structure, I need to pay more attention to such things. That could explain what appears to be a low number of offs before 10 pm.

I wouldn't think too many members here have a need for a short time room. Unless of course, there is a need to keep the liason hidden from a boyfriend. A short time room that incidentally costs more than a hotel room of acceptable standard.

More relevant, how common is it for bars to charge a higher off fee before 10:00 pm ? All these years, I've just paid the off fee and not asked questions. Typically after 10 pm if I have been with friends and sometimes earlier if alone.

To the best of my knowledge, Winner Boys is the only bar doing that. But somehow I doubt an off fee difference of 200 baht is going to deter many customers if they see a boy they like and it's still earlier than 10:00pm.

However, if it's 9:59pm I'll wait . . .

Maybe some of these bars eventually do what is common in the USA - a senior citizens discount. Of course the majority of farang in the gay bars are seniors. Then again, in Thailand we're not citizens. Oh well . . .

Winner bar is by far the most expensive in Pattaya in terms of off fees before 10 pm., and it’s in Sunnee plaza!

However, they do offset it with cheaper drinks...only 109 baht for a beer compared with 200 in Nice Boys and 260 in Toyboys. As for BBB...Well forget it.

Swings and roundabouts.

I think my 400 baht was paid just before 10:00 pm, which might explain why there seemed to be a discussion at the bar before the check bin was presented.

I think many of the customers in Sunee are senior citizens, but think there is a broader age range in Boyztown.
I don't see any rational reason for a senior citizens discount for luxury services. Also 89 baht for a drink in a gogo bar is already a good price.
