I can't describe to you guys how sad and angry these tragic stories make me. The worst thing is that I understand how ignorant and stupid these bullies must be. It would be a lot easier if I could just see them as evil and not fit for existence...

No description necessary. I understand completely. Maybe the press will influence parents and schools to be more proactive if they suspect things like this in the future. I hate bullies. In the other story, I think Ravi and Wei should be sentenced to jump off the bridge themselves.

Yesterday, Dharun Ravi was sentenced to 30 days in jail (for spying on Tyler Clementi, not for causing him to commit suicide).

As always, some think that he shouldn't be jailed at all, while others think the sentence is ridiculously light.

I heard that after serving his 30 days in jail, Dharun Ravi will be deported back to India. I'd think that to him that is a far greater punishment than a longer jail term.

I'm not so sure about that. There was some discussion about a possible deportation, but in one report I've read, they've mentioned that the judge decided against it. I don't know if that's actually true, but most likely the verdict isn't final anyway.
