Russia's anti gay tourist law

I wonder why the Russian government is so anti gay when the hoards of Russian in Pattaya in my experience just seem not to take any notice of us.

Their anti-gay stance means that my Thai bf and I will SKIP Russia....

Russia does have a VISA ON ARRIVAL for Thais..
but so do other countries that welcome us.
