Jose from Au Bon Coin has passed away

Post by richsilver »

Jose, owner and chef of long-time Pattaya restaurant Au Bon Coin, died on January 2 according to his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=a ... restaurant). This is perhaps the best French restaurant in Pattaya; many of us will miss it very much.

I spoke to the restaurant only yesterday. They confirmed that Jose has died, and those of us who have eaten there will certainly miss him, but whoever I spoke to said the restaurant will not close. Au Bon Coin will continue to operate as usual.

So sad. Jose was always so kind and his restaurant was one of my favorite. I teased him about a year ago as he was wanting to retire for a number of years but he said he could not find a Buyer. I loved the ambiance of the place. We will miss him.
