BANNED IN AMERICA? WHY?
Re: BANNED IN AMERICA? WHY?
They really show that commercial on general television in Germany? Maybe I'm a prude but there is something seriously wrong if kids are watching that kind of stuff.Jomtienbob wrote:The German Sprite commercial that didn't make it to America...Gosh, I wonder why not?

I don't see the problem with that on the right channel at the right time of day.

For example? What is the right channel and what is the right time of day?Jun wrote:I don't see the problem with that on the right channel at the right time of day.
Re: BANNED IN AMERICA? WHY?
Well, any time of day on dedicated porn channels and after 9:00 pm on regular channels.
Re: BANNED IN AMERICA? WHY?
Lol. Well, I'm okay with the porn channels and maybe after 11PM or midnight. I personally wasn't shocked by it at all and thought it was amusing to some degree. But I wouldn't want any of my nephews or nieces (at least those under about 17 or so) to see it as I hardly think play-acting a blow job with tons of cum is really what anybody should consider family fare.Jun wrote:Well, any time of day on dedicated porn channels and after 9:00 pm on regular channels.
Re: BANNED IN AMERICA? WHY?
I am surprised by the rather reactionary arguments put forward for not showing the ad. Germany is a far more liberal country than the USA. Even in staid old Britain, years ago I can recall ads with lots of similar visual symbols - trains shooting out of darkened tunnels, waves crashing on to rocks and the like. This may be slightly more 'explicit', but I think young Germans not only are fully aware of what is behind the symbolism, they will actually find it funny.
