Please copy the text on links or summarise them
The Bangkok Post is the latest news outlet which will not permit reading a full article without paying a subscription or logging in. Can I suggest that those posting links either copy and paste them (even though this can involve a bit of work) or at least summarise them?

I don't know why you're having that problem. I don't log in and I for sure don't pay for a subscription, but the full articles open just fine for me.fountainhall wrote:The Bangkok Post is the latest news outlet which will not permit reading a full article without paying a subscription or logging in.
If it helps anything, I use the Firefox browser.

There is no problem at all! Was on the site 5 minutes ago.

I am presently out of Thailand and am still unable to access more than the first two paragraphs of the article “Thailand’s global standing at a low point.” Then there appears this comment in bold letters -

I have never come across this before. I assume it does not appear in the on-Line edition in Thailand.

Your assumption is correct, at least for me and apparently also Undaunted. I think your problem will vanish once you return to Thailand.fountainhall wrote:I assume it does not appear in the on-Line edition in Thailand.

From here in Jomtien, using 3BB, I have seen a few such articles lately in the Post. Fountainhall is correct about that one.

I'm sure it's a trend.

I have no idea why some of you are having this problem. I just tried opening your link with the Firefox browser, Chrome, and Microsoft Edge. It opened fully for me with each.mahjongguy wrote:I'm sure it's a trend.
Maybe it has something to do with where you're located. I don't know why that would make any difference, but both Undaunted and I are located in Pattaya. Fountainhall says he is currently in Beijing. Mahjongguy, where are you located?
