Sounds REAL good to me - as long as it's Thai boys and not the same farang seen in thongs at the beach . . .
After all, let's have eye candy, not eyesore.

The style shown in the video is not the common one.
Here is the fundoshi worn in Japanese festivals. No front flap. Much sexier!

Considering the cultural differences, I think you might be waiting a long time for this to appear in Thailand.
Although cultures do evolve over time. Naked male swimming in the US seems to have disappeared. Females appear to be happy to wear smaller bathing costumes than 100 years ago, not that that is of any interest.
Meanwhile, just enjoy all the loin cloth & fundoshi scenes from Japan.

I'm not picky. I'll take what I can get . . .a447 wrote:The style shown in the video is not the common one.

I AM picky. Some of these look fine, but not the ones that make it look from the rear like the guy is wearing a diaper.

#10 Pray that this Tokyo fad spreads to Thailand.
I wish to take umbrage with Geezer. while I have no problem with the fundoshi type loin cloth worn by the in shape Japanese young men. But alas, If perchance, would wish to join in the cleaning up of a street, and were to don one of the delightful loin cloths, I fear the cars in the vicinity would crash, and motor bikes would go up on the walkway. I, though I hate to admit it, would not be the poster boy for the loin cloth. But if we let the Thai boys clean the streets, then i would be more than happy to follow in the rear of them and make sure they did a good job. If things get caught up, I may even walk in front of the hoards of svelte Thai boys and view their progress from that angle as well.
I have not posted in a while but it looks like I may haunt the environs of Pattaya next May for a few weeks.
