Yes, the service in Lido is good. Staff knows the name of the dishes in English.
A strong contrast is another Italian restaurant which had staff shortage. I went with a friend, we ordered, the waitress kept her finger on the meal I pointed out on the menu and went into the kitchen (shortly later I found out that she doesn't speak English, so I ordered drinks in Thai). It didn't help much, the wife (?) (Farang) of the owner (Farang) had to come to take our orders again.

Re: Lido Italian Restaurant - Bangkok
Recent visit to Lido, food quality appears unchanged after death of owner. Staff the same as before.
However, I noticed the acoustics is horrible. I was talking with my friend and there was a cacophony of background noises: chats from other tables and when the water pump under the stairway was running (I asked staff where the sound comes from) a high-pitched noise. WiFi was poor.
