Strange behavior, there must be some underlying problems. How do you find a subject that is interesting to all who participate for then entire time? I think that was the problem. When I don't eat alone, I am usually with one friend.

What kind of pedant would know that it took exactly 13 minutes to serve the dessert and take the time to follow up with the restaurant because of the petty issues that this delay has caused?! While I really have to commend this restaurant for being professional enough to dignify this kind of drivel-ish email with an answer, I think it's merely a sideshow: This group probably shouldn't have congregated for a dinner in the first place. Just draw your conclusions and don't have dinner with people who cause you grief of any kind in the future.
