Rose Hotel and Restaurant in Bangkok

Next time you have to stay in Bangkok, consider the Rose Hotel. It is a nice clean place and you can usually bargain the room down to about 1500 baht or so. Sometimes even cheaper on Agoda. The restaurant which is located behind the hotel next to the pool is first class. The food is not only very good but is presented in a very nice manner. This restaurant is really nice.

What kind of food is served there? Thai? Farang? Albanian?

It's very good Thai food.

It is surprising that Bob did not mention Sabaidee restaurant. Owned by a Thai and much of the food is Thai but often with a farang flavor. Many salads are offered. Excellent fish dishes. The place is visually very interesting and actually fun. I am told that the owner did all of the interesting projects, including the hongnam which you should not fail to check out. It is not hard core cheap but not very expensive. Actually on the lower scale for this type of place.
