It's a pity they don't mention anything strategic in the article.
Merely an assessment of water levels & something about using 5 reservoirs.
I presume there would be some strategic plan to adjust capacity to meet demand from increased development and to add some more of a safety margin ?
Plus possibly updating the plumbing to get the water tankers off the road ?

If the same strategic plan they usually use is also going to be used this year, the plan is to hope there will be enough rain to keep the reservoirs from running dry . . .
Currently, Thailand is constructing roads and "high speed" railway lines faster than many developed countries. For instance, compare with the US or UK.
Somebody ought to remind them that basics like the water supply ought to come first.
Or if they really want to get it done, perhaps remind the authorities that the corruption opportunities on water infrastructure should be able to match those on some of their white elephant projects. Whilst also being more useful.
