There was a raid on Saturday night with Immigration officers guarding both ends of the main Jomtien bar soi. The pool playing boys at 69 bar were carted off in a truck and a 3000 baht fine was imposed on each boy. They boys were back on Sunday night playing pool at 69 bar like nothing had happened. I have no information on who paid the fines.

B.N bar was told they were required to pay a 1000 baht fine for each of the five photos of Suk and their two other dancing boys that adorn the walls of the bar. The photos have been taken down. I have no idea what the problem was with the photos with the boy's in their usual show bar attire.

This is a clear example of Pattaya Police enforcing corruption, rather than enforcing the law.
ie If there is illegal activity, rather than stop it, they just take a payment to allow it to continue.

However, considering about 80% of the boys that interest me in Pattaya are from Cambodia or Laos, perhaps it is better that they allow these to be employed for tea money, rather than put a stop to it.
Also, a certain gogo bar in Sunee might have more on the stage to interest me, if they were prepared to do what it takes to have a few Cambodian and Lao lads.

Having admired those very tasteful photos a couple of days ago, I cannot imagine that anything would be illegal about them. Guys with some underwear visible. Not even pushing the boundaries with visible erections underneath.

What is illegal about having photos of clothed guys on the wall ?

I suspect the only crime here is extortion. Nobody polices the brown shirt mafia.

I suppose if your mind works that way they might be considered "evidence" of incitement to "illegal" activities (like gogo dancing :D )?

Here are some examples of photos on the wall of BN bar, extracted from elsewhere on the internet. I don't have the ones on the opposite wall, which were far more tasteful, although with a similar level of coverage.
So the mafia levy 1000 per photo for this ?

It seems to me there is nothing wrong or illegal about those photos. Some may not like them, but they obviously are not porn. I have a feeling the money for the fines ended up as nothing more than tea money.

I would think that's what the brown shirts are after every single time they head down to Jomtien Complex ?

There's no sign of them doing anything of use to society, such as enforcing noise limits or seriously promoting road safety.
Apparently, they would rather extort 5000 baht for a few pictures than try to provide a useful public service.

As for taste, I'm not a fan of full on cross dressing and I don't like the frilly dress pic. However, the other pictures are fine.
Also, whilst the photos don't demonstrate this, the combination of a short skirt pulled up high and raised podiums is surprisingly easy on the eye.
