BKK Bagel Bakery

Post by Trongpai »

This is quite NYC authentic. I went today had had a Ruben on Rye. The bread was real rye, thick sliced, toasted and the corned beef was thick sliced but tender and flavorful. The bagels are also excellent and as close to authentic NYC as you can get in Thailand. Not expensive, drink and sandwich under 300B. The place was smaller than I expected but there's AC and some comfortable seating. Nothing fancy. It's only open for breakfast and lunch closing at 5:30pm.

There has been several places advertising authentic NYC food but they fell short, way short and most have closed. This is the real thing.

To find it: if you coming via BTS, get off at Chitlom Station. Exit number 2 at the Maneeya Center but don't enter the Maneeya building and walk down the stairs to the street and turn 180 and it's on your right. You can see it from the sky walk platform near exit 2, next to Haaggen-Das.

If driving I would just park at Central Chitlom (three hours free) and cross over via the BTS station.
