Sunday was my second time here for breakfast both times I had the eggs Benedict with ham on a proper English muffin, both times it was consistantly good, the restaurant is very laid back and nicely decorated, prices are fair and over seeing the the Place is the propiertor Robert nice guy to chat with...staff is attentive and not overbearing.
Will be back maybe to try his Wed. nite pasta buffet.

I finally got to try Laong's the other night for dinner. Delighted with the food, with the service, with the check bin and the ambiance. If you have not been, give it a try....you will be pleased. A pearl in Jomtien.
Next visit to try their breakfast.

Laong's Bistro remains my favorite eatery in Pattaya. I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there on several occasions. In addition to their Wed pasta buffet, they have all the ribs you can eat on Thursday. Something recent is their Taste of Thai served on Tuesdays - several smaller portions of Thai dishes served as one meal. I haven't tried it, but my bf and I did have Thai food there for lunch ordering 4 dishes off the regular menu - he raved about how good it was. A friend of mine has heard about it the Taste of Thai specials, so we will be dining their this coming Tuesday so he can give it a try.

Here is a link to their menu: https://www.facebook.com/laongsbistro/app/337670556303383/

They also rotate the menu daily, so it's not going to always be the same thing every time you go.

GB, just to clarify - in mentioning rotation, are you referring to the Taste of Thai menu, served on Tuesdays? Their regular menu (link I posted) is available every day. They do change the items each week on the Taste of Thai special; so it is not always the same thing.

Laong's checks the board regularly. I'm going to defer to him and let him be the one to answer questions about his menu.

As 2lz2p correctly states, we do rotate our Thai Tasting Set every Tuesday so it's a new 5 dish set every week (Thai Tasting Tuesdays). Our A la Carte Menu's are static albeit we do add some new dishes every month or so and remove the less popular ones.

Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback, we really appreciate it

I enjoy Laongs but we will stop going on Pasta Night (Wednesday) simply because they serve stone cold pasta although all the excellent sauces are kept hot with flames. We get there early but still the pasta is cold with no attempt to keep it warm. Oh well.

Appreciate the feedback on the pasta and I will keep a closer eye on our process for the next buffet. The pasta "pots" are double lined with boiling water between the skins to keep the pasta warm without it overcooking as would be the case if we flamed below. Sounds to me like that didn't happen. I'm not sure if you mentioned your complaint to Laong and I'm sorry you have decided to stop coming on a Wednesday, we do also serve from the menu while the buffet is in operation should you change your mind.

Robert just announced on his Facebook page that he has added New England Clam Chowder to his menu as a starter. He previously included it with his Christmas Dinner menu, so I have had the privilege of tasting it - and it was, IMO, wonderful! New England (aka Boston) Clam Chowder is one of my favorite dishes and I did mention to Robert at the time that his was better than any I have had even in Boston. Of course, this means I now have to choose between the Lamb Samosa (my usual starter) and the Chowder - then again, maybe both :o
