Some friends and I revisited an old hangout, the East Tapas Lounge for their Monday Mediterranean buffet. Frankly we left somewhat disappointed as nothing there that really excelled. We did go back for seconds on the potato salad but overall the creativity of the original concept might be getting stale. The price of 490 baht for an unexciting buffet probably dampened our enthusiasm. So with only a bottle of water you're talking around 600 baht after tip. There were just a few empty tables.

Four of us stumbled into Tapas tonight, forgetting it was Monday. After checking out the buffet (nothing has changed in several years, no new items!) we were about to leave when we were told we could order ala carte off the menu. There was only one other table taken on this rainy night. Overall the buffet is old, stale and needs a complete overhaul. Hope they listen and also lower their prices.
