It's all over the news now. Mass shootings have become so commonplace in the USA that I'm not even surprised by them anymore. The only thing that surprises me is when more than a couple weeks go by without one.

You can't do much of anything anymore in the USA without wondering whether you're at least going to get home alive. Shootings in schools, churches, synagogues, bars, restaurants, offices, movie theaters - you name it.

You know how many mass shootings, including this one, there have been in the USA so far in 2018 alone? 298. That averages 1 per day.

And yet Congress won't do a thing about any of it. So you can be assured there will be more - many more - and still Congress will do nothing.

I've said it before and I still believe it - I don't think anything will be done about gun control in the USA until it's someone in power whose family is partially or entirely wiped out by nuts with guns. Even a Congresswoman, Gabby Giffords, miraculously survived being shot in the head by a nut with a gun and all Congress ever did about it was give her a standing ovation when she was finally able to return. Even then - nothing.

Trump wants to repeal the part of the 14th Amendment that guarantees citizenship to anyone born in the USA, but not one word about doing anything about the Second Amendment. What's wrong with this picture . . . ?
