Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, has resigned in protest of Trump's decision to withdraw the troops from Syria. Trump, of course, is trying to spin it into Mattis is retiring. In case our great president can't figure it out - there is a slight difference between retiring and resigning in protest.

Trump has also flip-flopped yet again and is now saying he will not sign the bill to prevent a government shutdown unless he gets his wall.

What a fabulous president. It's so nice to know how he has made America great again and transformed the USA into such a happy, go lucky country.

I said some months ago I would be worried if I lived in the Baltic States. Now I am afraid for them.

While I certainly agree with the above , you should be equally fearful for Taiwan and other countries in the direct sphere of influence of China. China is not a benevolent gorilla but a country essentially ruled by a dictator and a country that wants to expand their dominance whether it be militarily, economically and general overall thievery of the advances in the tech modern world.

The world truly is in disarray and it is likely to get much worse as long as Idiot Trump is in the White House!

"The world was collectively sick in those years - and still is."
- Edith Evans (Dr. Parmentier), 'QB VII'

And unless the next president is a "get things done" person with intelligence and common sense, a person who is neither greedy nor power hungry, the world will be doomed to continue being collectively sick.

Yeahhh, I'm thinking that's not a very likely scenario.

Yeahhh ... and I'm thinking that it will be a much greater mess/disaster.
Cheers ... ( and just one more reason why I love living in Thailand )

Doesn't look like it would keep anyone out. On the far right there is a place when a person could easily crawl under it.
