Yet Another Idiot - He's Republican - Surprised?

Every country has them - nutters! Perhaps it is only the intense focus on US politics at the moment that means we notice their idiotic comments more than others. Two days ago, a member of Congress giving testimony at the House Science, Space and Technology Committee seriously suggested that one reason for rising sea levels is erosion as with -
"the White Cliffs of Dover . . . crashing in to the sea. All of that displaces water which forces it to rise, does it not?"
Dismissing scientific evidence that the effects of such events as erosion are minuscule, Representative Mo Brooks added -
“There are plenty of studies that have come that show with respect to Antarctica that the total ice sheet, particularly that above land, is increasing, not decreasing."
Nuts!
