Wikipedia is basically useless for things like this and even this if you read it carefully they average each year 2001- 2006 and then divide by 5 . Basically useless if you want to know where some country is in 2005.

As far as my post I have no interest where they were in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 etc. 2005 is what I posted about and they were the 2nd biggest economy in the world at that time and at least 4x the size of France. Of course now they are many times bigger then that and still provide next to nothing for disasters around the world either by the government ( Communists) and especially the citizens.

Purely as a matter of accuracy on one particular point, according to the World Bank China became the world’s second largest economy at the end of 2010.

Well, firecat69 's link is CIA data and not sure about methodology and the Wikipedia link is World Bank (as noted) and IMF (International Monetary Fund) data. It appears the CIA labeled China the second largest economy in 2005 and I personally have some reservations ( did they ever find the WMD' s?)
This short article about Chinese humanitarian aid was interesting.

Even Trump can get it right once in awhile. Now we have to hope that Communist China does not buy him off , the same way the Russians did??
