How peculiar. China's really in a mess now - it seems pollution isn't the only concern - so I have a solution: a good use for the ill-gotten gains of a toilet paper thief might be for him to wrap a few lengths of it round his face as he goes about his daily grind/commute.
I wonder what Chinese toilets were like a while back, back in the days when cars were a rarity and folk cycled everywhere? Were they perhaps squat toilets equipped with Thai-style bum guns? Well, whether they were or weren't they certainly aren't now, at least not in the Temple of Heaven, so how about throwing out all the 'high definition cameras' and going paperless by installing functional Thai-style squat toilets. . .
