A successful reality TV show host becomes President of the USA, yet decides - and is permitted - to remain as an Executive Producer, meaning he puts in some money and takes out some profits. And you'd think it would be in this President's own interest to see the slot machine of a show continue to shell out cash. Not a bit of it! For this narcissist, the thought that someone else could succeed as he had done outweighed any possible financial reward. The Donald positively loved dragging Arnie through the mud. Even at the National Prayer Breakfast, surely a rather serious affair, he intoned "Pray for Arnold . . . for those ratings!" Now Arnie's been told - you're fired!
Arnie blames Trump. "When people found out that Trump was still involved as executive producer and was still receiving money from the show, then half the people [started] boycotting it."
The reality has to be that Trump's name probably did turn a lot of people off. Yet in his official Executive Producer capacity he must have had some say over the appointment of Schwarzenegger as his replacement. But Arnie turned out to be a dreadful replacement, as many no doubt predicted. Almost as dreadful as General Michael Flynn - fired! - and the awful Jeff Sessions - soon to be fired (hopefully)!
