I suspect many Americans feel the same way that many Brits did after the Brexit vote. The protests were short-lived and they now ponder the way things will actually play out. I think that's how it will happen in the US, also. The first 100 days has always been the period new presidents have to establish themselves. If they don't, the opposition senses opportunity.

Yes and when he starts gassing Mexicans and Muslims you should go lend a hand.

You mean like the way they accepted the Obama presidency. In fact right up until the end some even refused to accept he was a legitimate president by virtue of his birth place and we all know who the biggest purveyor of that lie was.

Trump's inauguration: a blisteringly embarrassing celebration of billionaires, banality, Botox and bigotry.

Don't recall them being out on the streets rioting. Remind me if they were.

What makes you say that? Don't you believe that Americans have the right to protest, especially against a person the likes of Mr. Trump?

No it tends to be a lot more serious with threats against the president and we also know who encouraged the gun lobby in that direction.
Just one example but there are many more: http://www.irehr.org/tag/tea-party-thre ... nst-obama/

They're protesting against his election. That is democracy, someone wins, someone loses. Accept the decision is all I am saying. AFTER he has made his decisions IN office THEN is the time to protest.
