Gaypassport.com - Another Site to Avoid!

In the thread -

- I wrote about the misleading and downright inaccurate information provided by the site http://Travelgayasia.com

I have now come across another which is in virtually the same class - some information but far too little and far too much that is again downright wrong. On its main page this site states -
Gay Passport gives you the information you need as an LGBT traveler. Gay Passport is a "What's On" and "Where to Go" guide for LGBT travellers. Gay Passport seeks to provide the most up-to-date destination information about venues and events.

Up to date? Out of date is sadly far more accurate. In Bangkok Coffee Society is listed - it closed about 2 years ago. G.O.D. and Adonis, both closed are also listed, yet most of the main saunas are not. The up-market food court on the 7th floor of Central Chidlom is listed as a gay bar! Chiang Mai has a host of closed venues. The Pattaya listings do not even include Boyz Boyz Boyz and Eros! Taipei is even worse and Tokyo far worse than both. Apparently Tokyo only has only three hotels that are gay friendly - two being in the luxury price bracket. Not one of Tokyo's gay saunas is listed - not even the most popular with foreigners 24 Kaikan in Shinjuku.

As far as I know its listings for Europe and America may be far better. But to advertise a site that purports to be a passport to the gay world is nonsense. It is sad that the producers of these sites get away with what is very much a con job.
