For anyone who has not seen the majesty and splendour of a full Royal Barge Procession, make a note when the date is announced and make sure you get a ticket/tickets. It is pretty awe-inspiring and there is nothing really like it anywhere else as far as I know. I saw my first one in 1987 and was absolutely amazed by it. Riverside seating is limited. The alternative is to fight the huge crowds on the river banks which will build up many hours in advance. His Majesty plans a royal barge ceremony for the event during the royal krathin ceremony later this year.

Ah right, ok I hadn't read that thread. So if you wanted a ticket for the seated area how would you go about getting one and when? Likely cost?Undaunted wrote:Just a guess but it might have something to do with the coronationCaptain Kirk wrote:When would this be happening?

Once the date is announced, the locations of booking centres and ticket prices will also be announced. I have zero idea of cost. In 1987 we were located across the river from the Grand Palace. The location was stunning.
There are lots of YouTube videos of previous processions.
