Thailand has opened special lanes for Chinese visitors at five airports, supposedly to encourage Chinese tourists in the wake of the Phuket drownings. Apparently it has the unexpected benefit of making life better for other visitors, including those from Taiwan and Hong Kong, who now don't have to deal with the boorish behavior of some of the Chinese tourists.

It's about time somebody wised up.
The best approach for handling those Chinese mobs is to herd 'em like cattle. They should deploy the same tactics in Pattaya along the beachfront.
