How Much Higher Can Bangkok Condo Prices Go?

Post by fountainhall »

When developer Sansiri announced in 2014 it was building Bangkok's most expensive apartment block named 98 Wireless, it estimated the price of units at Bt. 550,000 per sq. m. Located near the junction of Wireless Road and Ploenchit, it was completed at the end of 2016. Sumptuously decorated more in the style of the best New York apartments, the price has now risen to an average of Bt. 761,485 per sq. m., up 29.75% in the last quarter alone. Two-bedroom units in the upper part of the building are going for over Bt. 100 million with 3-bedrooms setting you back a few Baht short of 200 million. Want a penthouse? Think in terms of 650 million. Oh, but the price includes all the furnishings!

About 8 years ago, the Sukhothai Residences commanded the highest price in the city at nearly Bt. 250,000 per sq. m. How much further can they go?
