The Boat

Post by painai2 »

The Boat Restaurant closes forever today. The building has been sold and will be used for something else.
Many Falangs have used it over the years as a place to take your trick for a cheap breakfast.
I always liked it for the convenience, so close to Boyztown.
I know many will say, so what?, but it has been around a long time.

No loss for me, although some people liked the adjacent bakery.

The building will be used for something else. Any idea what that might be?

Also, any idea if The Boat is planning to reopen elsewhere?

All the waiters are looking for jobs elsewhere. Judging by the other businesses close by, the location will either be used as another massage parlor, tailor or ethnic restaurant, probably Indian.

I'm sorry to hear this news.
The Boat has been an option for meals for a long time. Nothing flashy, but affordable.
It was always an option for something simple.
The waiters could be surly, some more than others. Many have worked there for years,
and I'm sure that it is tough for them, now in low season.
