If you have a Thai bf or any friend that is an AIS customer and has a phone balance of at least 200 baht, then account validity (days) can be transferred.
Validity Transfer Dial*140*2*Destination Number *Validity#
The cost is 3 baht per transfer. I have helped a visiting friend who doesn't use the phone much and needs more days so his account does not expire between visits.

Re: FYI -- topping up your AIS cell phone account
Thanks for posting. I use AIS as well and recently topped up 100 THB at a machine, which gave 1 month (or 30 days?) validity. Then I topped up 300 THB (because I sometime somewhere read that 300 THB top-up give 1 year validity) and got somewhere between 2 and 3 months validity. Will try 20 Baht next time!

If you top up at the Orange machine outside most 711's, 10bt(+2bt surcharge) will give you 10bt added credit and 1 month extra validity.
