Eulogy for Mike M.

Mike loved life. He enjoyed food, wine, old movies and music, travel, and friendships.
HH? That was how most evenings started - it meant “Going out for Happy Hour?” Whether it was at his place, at friends places, or in a local pub Mike was always ready to enjoy a glass of wine and a conversation with friends. He used to be teased about repeating stories from the ’70s but how we would love to hear those stories again now!!
Mike loved food. His favourite food was from New York restaurants where he enjoyed deli sandwiches, greasy hamburgers, and many other delights. Whether visiting fine restaurants or eating at home, Mike was eager to share descriptions of good meals with Jimmy and other friends.
He loved old music and classic films which he watched over and over. He loved jokes about drinking and gently teasing people about various topics. His sense of humour was part of his charm.
His travel pass allowed him to see the world in style. Consequently, there was hardly a corner of this world he did not visit. Thailand, of course, was his favourite destination to visit as it is with many of us.
The sad reactions by those hearing of Mike’s passing confirm how many good friends Mike had.
Mike will be missed in Thailand as well as in New York and around the globe.
RIP dear friend.

A fine eulogy ! I only knew Mike by sight and sound as he strolled through Sunee Plaza and stopped to chat with friends I was seated with at Elephant Plaza Bar. Always upbeat and in good spirits.
