Richard Burk has died at 70
Re: Richard Burk has died at 70
Thanks for the update Gaybutton. Seems that there would still be a chance for an informal gathering of Richard's old friends and customers somewhere but it would take someone to organize it. For me, I will go to Panorama or someplace close by and raise a glass to Richard on my next visit.

My apologies for not posting sooner these fine photos.
I was having difficulty with the Photobucket uploading.
But somehow it is working fine now.....

I'm happy to second that. I enjoyed the few times I had a chance to visit with Richard at Amor. I hope he's at peace.ก้นconnoisseur wrote:Thanks very much for posting those travelerjim!

Re: Richard Burk has died at 70
Travelerjim, I am happy you were able to post my photos that I took of Richard Burk on Gaybutton website from 2008. While I have not returned to Thailand in over five years, I have fond memories of Richard and his two restaurants. Because of the long 28-hour door-to-door travel time from my home in Manhattan to Pattaya, and the death of two American friends who lived in Pattaya for over half of the time, I will not likely return to Thailand.
Early memories and photos that I took, starting in 2004 -- eight separate trips --
are great. Pity I cannot add my early gay street photos to this web site, but it was too complicated for me (not being a tech guy).

Then you're the only board member ever to complain it's "too complicated."DavidJarrett wrote:I cannot add my early gay street photos to this web site, but it was too complicated for me (not being a tech guy).
